Agapanthus
“Purple Cloud”
Agapanthus Purple Cloud is one of the larger varieties of this plant
available.
It is also the largest one that we produce here. The plants shown
in the photos come from our laboratory; these plants were only 12
months old at the time of photography.
- Foliage of the Purple Cloud is approximately 600mm in height
with a silver green appearance with purple colouring at the
base.
- The flower stems are an amazing 1.2mt to 1.5mt in height.
- In springtime, the majestic blooms are spectacular 250mm ball
of vivid purple flowers.
- When the plant matures there are more flower stems per plant.
- The foliage of this plant when not in bloom is still a magnificent
year round low maintenance display.
- This plant is a strong vigorous grower that will fill a 150mm
pot rapidly.
- We do not recommend that it be retailed in flower in anything
under a 200mm pot, as it would be too top heavy.
- The height and colouring of the blooms of these plants make
them a good choice for the background of a garden.
- Bulk planting along a solid fence line or against a wall is
also an option.
